Solprojektet

A Swedish educational handbook aimed at educators and principals in preschools. A tool to spread knowledge about how to create with the youngest children. The handbook is called “Solprojektet i Lindesbergs Kommun - att bygga ateljéer och skapa med de yngsta 1-3 år” and consists of four parts. Together, the parts provide mapping, further training, tips, and documentation in the form of text and images of Solprojektet.

Fonts

Since the book is a tool for traning and a resource that will be reused by many different people over a long period of time, it was important to have a font that is easy to read. Crimson is a serif font that is common in books and works well with large blocks of body text.

Colors

In a book containing a lot of information and documentation, it was important to lighten it up with clear colors that both fit the theme without becoming too childish. A pink-red tone, purple, and orange became the main colors, which in varying intensities constitute the cover, background, text highlights, and introduction to new chapters.
